Can my book/bookish item be included in the goodie bag?

We work exclusively with the publishers of the Amsterdam Book Event for the goodie bag. Therefore, we have no room for items from external parties.

Is the venue (wheelchair) accessible?

The ABE room, restaurant and toilets are accessible to wheelchair users. The beach and the top floor (without lift) of Pllek are less accessible. Pllek therefore does not call itself wheelchair-friendly but wheelchair-accessible.

What is the progamme of the day?

The official programme can only be viewed by our invited guests. They will receive a link to a special password-protected page via e-mail this summer. Are you on the guest list but still haven't received an email with a password by the end of August? Let us know!

Can I/my colleague come?

The Amsterdam Book Event works with a closed guest list. All invitees will receive an invitation by e-mail. This invitation also applies to your colleagues: if they are not on the guest list, we unfortunately do not have a place reserved for them. Do you take into account my dietary requirements?

Fish and veg sandwiches are served during lunch, along with vegetarian soup. No dish with meat will be served during lunch. Can I take photos/videos during the ABE?

Dat mag zeker! We vragen je wel rekening te houden met de privacy van de andere gasten en de wensen van onze presentatoren (let bijvoorbeeld op een embargo). Deel je foto’s op social media met de hashtags #AmsterdamBookEvent en #ABE2026. Op Instagram kun je ons taggen (@vanditmarbooks), dat vinden we leuk!
